One lump or two?
Welcome to The Illuminatea, a living collaboration of geek culture, conspiracy theory-themed fun, spiritual awareness, and classical sensibilities. Our way of life is a pragmatic blend of old and new, of constantly striving to refine what is good in our lives with the best of what has come before and what is yet to come. We refer to this ongoing process as Enpixellment.
The Illuminatea is the collective name for the aggregation of vanity domains and web projects run or contributed to by Devin and Stephanie Ganger, their family, and their friends.
thecabal.org is Devin's vanity domain and was the first website hosted by the Illuminatea. teawithstephanie.com is the site for Stephanie Ganger's polymer clay art. This site is the new home of the Illuminatea, providing blogs, forums, and photo galleries for ourselves, our family, and our friends. We host several other sites; you can see a list of them at thecabal.org.
We've divided our blogs into two groups: the Order of Boston Harbor and the Company of East India. Both names are long-connected to the history of tea in the United States and provide just the right flavor.
- The Order of Boston Harbor calls to mind the heroes of the American Revolution, reminding us all that no matter how big we get, a small and dedicated group of people can fight the Establishment and win. Blogs in the Order are written or managed by members of the Ganger family.
- The Company of East India nods to the historical company from the British Imperial Age, the commercial engine that formed such an important part of the British Empire. Friends and family who wish to join with the Illuminatea are entered into the rolls of the Company.
Illuminatea is powered by the wonderful Community Server ASP.NET-based software package.
